We offer utility assistance (water, electric, or gas) to residents of North Okaloosa County (above the Eglin AFB range).

*Our Summer scheduling will be on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday mornings for June, July & August.

How It Works

  • Assistance is available by appointment only

  • Call 850-331-2354 on Tuesday at 9:00 AM to request an appointment for the following day (Wednesday)

  • Appointments are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis

  • Each household is eligible for up to 3 appointments total, with at least one year between visits

What You Need

  • Your current utility bill (must be in your name)

  • A valid photo ID

Once all appointment slots are filled, calls will no longer be answered that day. If you don’t reach us, please try again the following Tuesday.

The Operation Round Up program

CHELCO is a member-owned electric cooperative guided by seven cooperative principles. One principle is Concern for Community. CHELCO members demonstrate their dedication to the community by participating in the Operation Round Up program.


The Operation Round Up program gains all its funding through CHELCO members voluntarily rounding up their monthly bill to the nearest dollar. The accumulated contributions are distributed quarterly to charitable organizations primarily in the local area served by the cooperative.


Selecting recipients from an outstanding and varied group of applicants is always a challenging task. Grants are awarded based on the availability of funds and policies established by the CHELCO Board of Trustees. We are pleased to support your worthy organization.
